SG - Soft Ground
The football boots with SG sole (aka Soft Ground) are for use only on wet and soft or very soft pitches with natural grass that can be muddy or waterlogged. Studs are generally made of plastic or metal (or metal toe only) and are generally 6 (4 on the forefoot and 2 slightly longer on the heel) or 8.
Avoid the use on artificial grass and dirt.
Studs of the SG soles are are removable and replaceable and are mainly used in the winter months.
